Join us on April 30th for a complimentary workshop that will discuss the principles needed to accomplish these challenges and illustrate how it can be done using a Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) and Design Exploration Environment. You will learn how to integrate your development tools (from Excel to FEA/CFD) to achieve better designs more efficiently and how to explore complete system performance. Whether the problem is structural (linear or nonlinear, static or dynamic, bulk materials or composites), fluid, thermal, or acoustic in nature, involves NVH and dynamics, or any combination of these, HEEDS can help you achieve better designs faster, uncover new design concepts that improve products and significantly reduce development costs!

Guest Speaker:
Jesper Slattengren, Manager at Pratt & Miller Engineering will discuss how emerging technologies of “true global” optimization techniques are reversing the roles of DOE and optimization in the vehicle development CAE cycle at Pratt & Miller.

This event will include demonstrations from the automotive, aerospace, electronics and biomedical industries that illustrate linking structural analysis, CFD, and 1-D design tools, to achieve better designs, faster. In addition to seeing these demonstrations, each attendee can participate in the (optional) hands-on session, occurring after lunch to try these tools firsthand.

This Hands-On Session Will Cover:

  • Design exploration and optimization methodologies in HEEDS
  • Overview of CAE and development tools with which HEEDS can seamlessly connect
  • Attendees driving a flow/thermal optimization project leveraging HEEDS and STAR-CCM+ software
